The Sacrament of First Reconciliation
The Sacrament of First Reconciliation is normally celebrated during a child’s 2nd grade year around the age of 7, but we welcome children older than 2nd grade. Candidates should have been enrolled in the Religious Education program beginning in first grade or at least one year prior to preparing for the Sacrament.
Parents must be registered members of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, provide a Baptismal Certificate, and enroll their child in Religious Education Classes. There is 7 hours of additional First Reconciliation Preparation outside of normal classes. See the schedule for those dates.
The Sacrament of First Reconciliation will be celebrated on Saturday, March 7, 2026 from 8:15 a.m. through 11:30 a.m.
Reconciliation
The Sacrament of Reconciliation/Confession provides us with an opportunity to encounter the mercy and compassion of our God. Through this Sacrament, we find the grace of God to overcome sin and be reconciled to God and one another.
While Catholics are bound to receive the Sacrament once a year, during the Lent/Easter Season, we encourage you to avail yourself to this beautiful Sacrament once each month.
The Confessional is located along the rear left side of the church when coming through the main doors.
The Sacrament is celebrated on:
-
Sundays: 7:30 a.m. to 7:55 a.m. or 10:00 a.m. to 10:25 a.m.
-
Saturdays: 8:00 a.m. until the line ends or 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
